iPhone Shutter Grip

The iPhone Shutter Grip is a handy device for anyone who likes to capture pictures and or video on the iPhone. This device decreases the amount of shake one gets when taking photos or videos. Its also great when you need to change from shooting stills to video as one does not need to stop and select video from on screen, just start video by pushing the black button and seamlessly go back to capture stills by pushing the red button.

Tired of filling out your email address for online forms?

If your tired of typing out your email address over and over on your iphone there is an easy shortcut. This keyboard shortcut can actually be used for shortening the length of typing any repetitive address or character intensive descriptions using the keyboard shortcut on the iPhone.
Basically go to Settings on your phone, click on General, then scroll down to Keyboard and click, make sure that shortcut is on. Then scroll down to shortcuts and click add new shortcut. You will see a screen with Phrase: this is where you would type in your email for example: john.jones @gmail.com Now you will type in the Shortcut for this address such as
gmail.com. So the next time you type in gmail and click enter your actual email address john.jones @gmail.com will appear.
You can do this of course for any number of phrases as well. If your home address is say 403 Franklin st. this could be phrase and enter 403 as shortcut. The next time you type 403 your full st address will appear.

iPro Tele 2x iPhone Lens

Schneider Optics is releasing a true 2x Lens for iPhone with a scheduled release in April. It will have full photo and movie mode without vignetting. It will have a 70mm equivalent to 35mm format on iPhone4s and 56mm on iPhone 4, which should make it great for portrait shots. It will be manufactured with top grade optical glass with multilayer coatings to prevent lens flare and increase light transmission in an anodized aluminum housing.

iPro Lens System

Schneider optics has come out with their recently developed iPro Lens System, a really pro looking lens mount for the iPhone. Its not just a clip on lens but has bayonet mount for two lenses in the kit, one is 165 degree fisheye lens and the other is a wide angle lens with a 35 degree wider field of view. It has an msrp of 199.00 and compatible with iPhone 4/4s.

Pocket Projector for iPhone4

Recently saw the Brookstone Pocket Projector for iPhone 4 on display in a Brookstone store. The Iphone 4 slips into a 2100 mah battery pack which resembled a Mophie Juice Pack with a miniature DLP projection system built in, capable of about 15 Lumens. The store unfortunately was brightly lit and no real surface to demo it on. The clerk projected it off two chairs and I could see that the video would have looked acceptable in a dark lit room. The spec claims up to 50 inch, however it has a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels so its something to keep in mind if projecting a large 50inch screen at 15 lumens. On the other hand when going for even 12 to 24 inch would be huge compared to a 4 inch iPhone screen and still look reasonably sharp. There is a built in .5 watt speaker, one would be better off using a blue tooth enabled Jam Box or similar device for more amplification though.
The neat thing is someone that is used to walking around with a Mophie Juice Pack or similar pack could basically replace it with this device and still have backup capability of a battery plus have a minature projector available at the flip of a switch (actually holding down a button for about 3 seconds) with almost no noticeable difference in size.

Needing A Bit More Resolution For the iPhone 4

There are couple routes to go with this, the first is to take a look at the Owle Bubo iPhone Camera Kit. It adapts to the front of your iPhone 4 or 4s version and gives one a combo 37mm wide angle and macro capability as well as external microphone in machined aluminum case assembly.
Its possible to go a step further and add the EnCinema 35 adapter kit or buy it together with an Owle Bubo Kit to adapt 35mm lenses to the iPhone 4/4s to give maximum flexibility for depth of field or telephoto capabilities with ones iPhone 4.
