At a recent auction in May 2012 for the 1923 Leica O-Series Camera set a new record for the most expensive camera at 2.79 million dollars. Only 25 of these were ever made with 12 known in existence today. A similar example of this camera was auctioned of in 2007 at 336,000 EUR.
