The Ramos alarm clock takes shutting of the alarm to another level, as nearly all alarm clocks take minimal effort to shut off the alarm. One has to physically get up and key in a code to a transmitter in another room to disable the alarm, since unplugging the clock will not disable the alarm since it has battery backup built into the clock.
