2012 Prius Plug In Electric Hybrid
Toyota will be offering a 2012 Plug in Prius. It’s interesting as it does not have the all electric range of the Nissan Leaf nor the range of the Chevy Volt. It does offer a battery only range estimate of 13-15 miles and still can run on regular petro as the current hybrids. The advantage is that one can fully charge up their battery in about 3 hours on 110ac and 1.5 hours on 220ac.
Toyota has priced it competively at 32000 and 39525 for the two Prius models available as plug in’s. It may also qualify up to 2500 of federal tax credit.
