Tivo Premiere Elite Dvr

The tivo premiere elite dvr has just dropped in price from 499.99 to 399.99. It has 4 tuners builtin and can record up to 300 hours of HD content. It might be possible to replace one’s cable companies box and not have to pay a monthly box fee, also have the capability of recording up to 4 programs simultaneously as well.
The one caveat is that there is a monthly fee of 14.99 or a one time lifetime fee of 499.99. One would have to do the numbers and see if this is financially viable,
and just how well it integrates into ones current service provider.The Elite does not support antenna, however more powerful and energy efficient also.

Dev-Audio’s microcone is a microphone designed for group meetings with six directional microphones built-in. This unit works for conference table style meeting with up to 6 participants. It’s recording is sent via USB to a Mac, then the free microcone recorder app that records and processes each as separate audio streams on a timeline.

I guess storage should not be an issue for anyone that can afford one of these, and the fact someone actually needing a file of this resolution most be in the rarefied realm of cost is no object.
